Penticton Drug Task Force members arrested two people that were found with drugs, including what is suspected to be fentanyl.

RCMP observed a vehicle outside of a suspect residence on Beams Lane Feb. 5. A vehicle parked outside had Manitoba license plates which were found to be for a different vehicle. The male driver was arrested for driving without insurance, driving without a license and was found with methamphetamine.

The man also had outstanding warrants from Alberta and Saskatchewan and was found to be in breach of court conditions in Alberta. Two female passengers were in the vehicle at the time.

One woman was found to have an endorsed warrant out of Penticton, and was in possession of undisclosed amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and stolen credit cards, police said.

A search of the second female found cocaine and a suspected amount of fentanyl, police said.

RCMP said the license plate on the vehicle was stolen out of Manitoba, and a stolen vehicle associated with the plate was recovered in January in Kelowna.

The male and female with warrants were released on promises to appear in Penticton court on March 16. The second female was released with conditions not to attend Penticton, aside from a court appearance also on March 16.
