Woman in hospital after logging truck collision

One woman was sent to hospital with life threatening injuries after a collision with a logging truck on Highway 97 Sunday.

One woman was sent to the Penticton Regional Hospital with life threatening injuries after a collision with a logging truck on Highway 97 Sunday.

One woman is in Penticton Regional Hospital with life threatening injuries after her vehicle collided with a logging truck on Highway 97 on Sunday.

A Toyota Corolla driven by the 46-year-old Penticton woman crossed the centre line near Vaseux Lake at approximately 1 p.m. Jan. 24. The woman was the lone occupant of the car and was transported to Penticton Regional Hospital. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

Witness Skylar Noe-Vack said that both vehicles caught on fire upon impact.

RCMP say that road conditions are not believed to be a factor.
