One person was sent to the hospital after a serious workplace accident took place on Friday in Penticton.

First responders received a call for a man pinned between two vehicles in the mechanics shop area of Skaha Ford at around 11:40 a.m.

“There was a medical emergency involving a male. Firefighters arrived along with B.C. Ambulance Service who conducted CPR and AED protocols,” said Penticton fire department chief Larry Watkinson. “The patient was transported to hospital and at this time we don’t know his status.”

WorkSafeBC confirmed they were notified by the RCMP of a “serious workplace incident” and have officers currently on site investigating.
