ENEAS, Cheryl Dawn

Our beautiful daughter, sister, auntie, grand aunt and friend, Cheryl Dawn Eneas, Cher Bear, Snpaqcin, age 48, died on November 11, 2017, in the comfort of Moog Hospice House in Penticton, surrounded by love.

Born to Adam Eneas and the late Verna Baker, Cher lived her adult years in Vancouver.

She is survived by her father, Adam (Sandi); sister, Denise; brothers, John, Anthony, Tom; and 9 nephews; 1 niece; and 2 grand nieces.

She was a lifelong athlete, who enjoyed biking, playing road hockey, basketball, fastball, golf, and floor hockey with anyone who dared to join in. When her health prevented her from stepping out on the floor with her hockey team, the Motherpuckers, Cher continued to show up as scorekeeper, and her presence and passion for the game will be deeply missed by her teammates and opponents alike.

Cher loved music and began practicing her amazing dance moves while still a baby in diapers. She treated many family members and friends to the best concerts ever and her awesome play lists made cruising in the car with her all the more memorable.

Cher had a quiet but strong way of walking in this world, generous with her love and kindness, but not afraid to stand up against wrong-doing. Cher will always be remembered for her wicked sense of humour, her explosive laughter and her simple remarks, like "Oh geez."

In her new journey, Cher will be reunited with her mother, her grandmother, her Carter, Scooter and "that White Cat"...and all of the ancestors will be there to welcome her home.

Prayers will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, starting at 7:00 PM, and Cher's celebration of life will be held the following day on Saturday, November 18, 2017 starting at 1:00 PM. Both gatherings will take place at the Penticton Indian Reserve Community Hall, on Green Mountain Road, Penticton. Celebrants are Fr. Rex Velmonte and Sondra Richardson.
