Daniel Jeffrey Moffet

November 12, 1974 - December 27, 2019
Daniel Jeffrey Moffet, long-time resident of Penticton (BC) and Peace River (AB) passed away on December 27th, 2019 at the age of 45 years. Dan was born on November 12th, 1974 in Vancouver.
Dan was a committed and devoted teacher. His love of teaching the next generation was strong; challenging students' assumptions and coaching volleyball is what he did well. It was equally matched by his passion for the outdoors life: skiing, mountain biking, hiking and travelling. He was a backyard Volkswagen mechanic extraordinaire, jam maker and his handyman skills presented no challenge that couldn't be met.
Dan is survived by his wife, Adrienne; parents Joan and Gord Moffet; brother Pat and his wife Ashley; niece and nephew Gracie and Carter.
A Memorial Service for Dan will held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Parish at 11am 10405-99 Street, Peace River. *Peace Valley Inns is offering discounted rooms for those traveling to Peace River, for Dan's service. Also, the Pub will rented out for the afternoon, following the service (1-5 pm) for an extended time of fellowship.
A private family internment of his cremated remains will be at Penticton Lakeview Cemetery.
There will also be a Memorial reception for Dan in Penticton, BC on Saturday, February 1st at 11 am at the United Church Hall on 696 Main St., Penticton. Donations in Dan's name may be forwarded to a Breast Cancer Foundation of one's choosing, Misery Mountain Ski Hill and/or Peace River Mountain Bike Association.
