Doranne will be mourned by her children: son, Brent Watt (Brenda) of Penticton; daughter Roxan Watt (Garnett) of Penticton; grandchildren: Jordan Engel (Jamie) of Calgary and Misty Doranne Watt (Andrew) of Penticton; great-grandsons, Isaac and Ryder of Penticton; and her brother, William Dale (Susan) Ferris of Calgary.
Doranne was predeceased by her husband George Watt, and her parents, William and Grace Ferris..
Doranne was dedicated to her family and to her profession as an educator, and to her many volunteer roles she undertook in her community: church, hospital, hospice, and The Royal Canadian Legion.
She was an accomplished pianist. Her love of travel and books, her joy in golfing, and her marvel of nature were contagious. Her wish was that every Canadian could see the grandeur of the Rockies in the west, the high and beautiful skies in the prairies and the vivid autumn colours of the hardwoods in the east.
May she travel in peace. We shall miss her.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1st, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton.
