June 8, 1962 - September 7, 2023

In Loving Memory ~

Fredrick (Fred) William Miller passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 61.

Remembered and sadly missed by his loving girlfriend Carolyn Excell, siblings Darlene Butler (Mac) of West Kelowna, Barb Damour (Ed) of Calgary, George Miller (Marj) of Parksville, and Sue Demerse (Gary) of Penticton, and many extended family.

Sadly, predeceased by his parents, Percy & Dorothy Miller, sister Patricia Manke, and great-niece Faith Manke.

Fred was born in Penticton, B.C. on June 8, 1962. He grew up in Trout Creek, and other than living a few years in Saskatchewan, spent the rest of his adult life in Penticton.

Fred struggled with Mental Health issues all his adult life. For many of those years, he lived at Braemore Lodge where the staff treated him like family. Fred felt they were his extended family. It was a great comfort to know he was in good care.

Fred had many interests, including a passion for sports. He played hockey with the Upper Deck Vees, enjoyed tennis, loved to ride his bike and walk all over town with his girlfriend, Carolyn, and relished going to Penticton Vees hockey games. He loved to watch all sports on TV.

Fred also had a passion for music. He desired to learn to play different instruments and enjoyed going to live music concerts. His CD collection is a testament to just how many music genres he loved!

Fred also loved fast muscle cars - he had books and calendars of them--and was very fond of dogs. He volunteered by walking dogs at the SPCA.

Fred loved family gatherings, many of these were at Mom and Dad's home. In his younger years on those hot summer days, they would be at Powell Beach in Trout Creek, in his adult years these were held at Sunoka Beach.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 1498 Government St., Penticton, B. C. Private family interment to follow.
