May 18, 1927 - July 19, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Dorothy Lorraine Grimes (nee Ennis) on July 19, 2018. Helen was born to Dave & Mary Ennis of Rosedale, BC in May 1927.
She was the last surviving of 5 sisters, Kay, Bea, Olive & Pearl. She married Fred Usselman (deceased) and had 5 children, Merv Usselman (Carole) of Coquitlam, Sharon Young (deceased) of Gold River, Marilyn Volk McCullough of Penticton, Vicki Wood (Barry) of Penticton and Lorraine Wiebe (Harvey, deceased) of Campbell River. Helen then married Edward 'Ted' Grimes (deceased) and lived in Surrey & Pitt Meadows.
She was also a fun loving Grandmother to nine and a wonderful great "Granny" to 17. We all had a visit with her days before her passing with family coming from Vancouver Island, Regina, Vancouver and Okanagan.
She even managed to play some 'crib'. Helen passed away peacefully in hospice in Penticton with daughter Lorraine & Granddaughter Melissa by her side. She was happy to have had such an awesome family and felt her life was a success.
A family service will be held in Rosedale where her ashes will be scattered into the Fraser River with her Husband Ted's along with 2 Uncles, Oscar and Artie Ennis. Rest in Peace Mom.
