We lost the light of our family after a short but determined battle with cancer. Helen spent her final days surrounded by love, hand holding, kisses and laughter. Helen passed away peacefully and talked about getting to be with her mom and twin sister, Jean again. This gave her comfort and ease as she moved into her next life.
An absolute fighter until the end, Helen was the picture of strength and grace. Stoic through intense pain and discomfort. There is an immeasurable loss felt within our hearts.
We as a family wish to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to all those who helped Helen with her journey.
At Helen's request a celebration of life will be held this summer likely in the backyard of the home she raised her family surrounded by the garden she loved so much.
