In Loving Memory ~

Ian Mitchell Finlay passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023, at the age of 92 years.

Predeceased by his lovely wife Jacqueline 'Jackie' in 1996, he is survived by his children Linda Hall (Jim), Susan Finlay, Mitch Finlay, Andrew Finlay (Cathy), and Paul Finlay (Carmon), as well as ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

After retirement from Bell Canada, Ian and Jackie RVed eastern Canada before moving to Penticton in 1988 to see the West. In Penticton he joined the Senior Men's Curling Club and Legion Branch 40 where he met many new friends. More friends he and Jackie met through the Penticton Trailer Club became their travel companions for several trips to Europe.

In 2002 Ian invited his daughter Susan to join him in Penticton and together they RVed more of the West and cruised to Alaska. He made several solo treks by RV to spend summers visiting his family and friends in Manitoba and Ontario.

In his wife's memory, Ian was a faithful supporter of the Penticton Hospice Society.

Ian was loved and respected and will be greatly missed. He has chosen cremation, and his ashes will be interred at Little Lake Cemetery in Peterborough, ON.
