It is with great sadness that the family of Irene MacDonald announces her passing after a tough battle with cancer at the age of 74 years. She passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, January 31 at Moog & Friends Hospice in Penticton.
Irene was born in Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan on November 12, 1943. She has resided in Penticton, BC for the past 38 years.
Irene will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael and her children, Heather (Neal) and Scott (Leah). Nana will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Molly, Lily, Alanna and Harrison.
Irene will also be remembered by her numerous brothers & sisters and many friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara, Sister Ann & brother, Lambert.
Irene had a memorable nursing career that spanned nearly 40 years and retired in 2005. She was very focused on helping others and spent lots of time involved in the Church. In her spare time, she was active, always walking, riding her bike and gardening. She dedicated her life to helping others.
A celebration of life for Irene will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church in Penticton.
