Isobel Jean Taylor (NEE Ballingall) was born in Edinburgh Scotland on February 4, 1946. Jean came to live in Canada with her parents shortly after birth. Jean lived the majority of her young life in Winnipeg Manitoba. She was married there and came to Penticton, B.C., where she raised her two children. Jean passed away peacefully in Penticton, B.C., on July 13, 2023, with family by her side.
Jean was the oldest of eight in the Ballingall family. She is predeceased by her parents Helen and George Ballingall as well as brothers George, Tom, and Ken and sisters Susie and Marianne. She leaves behind her son Carl, grandchildren Brody, Durran, Durinda and Kayla; daughter Tera (Bill), granddaughters Haley and Hannah; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Betty and brother Dan (Roxanne) and father of her children Larry. Jean had amazing strength and spirit and put family above all. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. The family extends appreciation to the staff at Westview Place. There will be no service at her request.
