September 22, 1935 - June 15, 2018
On June 15, 2018 Joyce Elizabeth Daechsel (nee Johnson) went to be with the angels. Born September 22, 1935 in Kipling, Saskatchewan to parents George and Bessie. Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Lou and her four children: Tim (Patty), Brenda (Dan) Paige, Barb Thomas and Pati (David) Aoki. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Joyce is also survived by brother Cliff (Ivy) and predeceased by brother Stan.
In 1957 Joyce and Lou moved to Penticton from Regina, Sask. The last 32 years were spent on their Westbench property over looking Okanagan Lake amongst the cherry trees, which were the happiest times for Joyce. She loved to spend hours in her sewing room on many projects for her family and was an amazing baker.
Joyce worked at the El Rancho Restaurant in the early 70's and then Elmer's Cannery for many summer seasons. But her most important job and what she loved the most, was as wife, mother and grandmother.
No service is planned at this time. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Moog & Friends Hospice House.
