Julia Ellen Franz passed away peacefully on Thursday August 17, 2023, at the age of 91.
Julia is survived by her husband of 63 years, Horst Franz, her daughter Kerry-Lyn Shaw (Michael), son Eckhart Franz (Linda), grandson Clayton Franz (Katie), granddaughter Tara Franz (Mack) and two great-grandchildren, Emery and Ella Franz.
Julia was born and raised in Alberta with two brothers and a sister. In 1960, Julia met and married Horst Franz in Calgary. In 1975, they moved their family to an orchard in Naramata. Later, they left the orchard to live in Penticton. Julia loved reading, watching old movies and listening to country music. She took pride in looking after her husband and children.
She was a caring grandmother who loved playing with her grandchildren.
