It is with extreme sadness but immense love that we announce the passing of our Mom (Mama) Gram, Nana, Granny, Phyllis (Doreen) Wilander (nee Williams) on the morning of July 11th, 2023, at the Penticton Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She is survived by her daughters; Diane (Shane), Leslie (Gary, aka Lefty and her Dad) Marlene (Dan); grandchildren Chris, Melissa (Tiam), Cory, Jesse and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Madison, Emma and Casey; sisters in law, Donna Newman and Norma Bunes. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Allen, of 50 years; infant son, David; and daughter Karren van Ryswyk; as well as her parents, Herbert and Alice Williams; brothers, Bryce (Sister-in-Law Florence) and Barrie (Sister-in-Law Eileen). Mom will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, her best friend of over 60 years, Linda Lawrence, and Godsons, Earl and Doug Lawrence. Mom was fondly known to many as Gram. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts and the lives of so many people who loved her and there are many. She was and is the heart, soul and glue that held and will forever hold us all together. We love you a million Mama, forever and always. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Mom's name. A very sincere and heartfelt thank you to Mom's many doctors and the 5th-floor nursing staff and rehab staff, you were all amazing in your care of our Mom and her family as well.
