October 27, 1938 - November 10, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Tom Heidt on November 10, 2018, following a brief battle with cancer, shortly after celebrating his 80th birthday. Tom was preceded by his parents Jack and Jessie Heidt and his first wife Kathleen. Tom will be remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Jan and their six children: Raymond (Nargiza), Janice (Brad), Christine, Karen (Dave), Tannis (Greg) and Ginger (Louis), along with eight grandchildren: Connie, Ryan, Gabriel, Josh, Mia, Sola, Elizabeth and Katie; as well as his three brothers and sister: Jack (Golda), Betty (Jack), Don (Sylvia) and Bob (Gail). Tom dedicated his entire life's work to the field of education.

His many years of teaching led him to become a respected school principal and thereafter an influential assistant director of education. After retiring, he pursued his journey as a strategic planning consultant and kept inspiring students, teachers, friends, family and many others along his path of eternal optimism. His love and dedication to his work was solely match by his passion for Golf which he shared with his wife. Their love for summer and for the sport took them every winter to the eastern shores of Mexico, where they indulged in the tranquility and beauty of the Mayan Riviera. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered for his compassion and his faith in humanity. The family would like to send a heartfelt "Thank you" to the nurses and staff of Moog and Friends Hospice for their compassionate care.

In Memorium Donations can be made to the Moog and Friends Hospice.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
