November 24, 1966 - August 21, 2018
On Wednesday, August 22, 2018, Mr. Wayman James Leong of Oliver passed away suddenly at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 51 years.
He was predeceased by his mother Julie Leong. Wayman will be fondly remembered by his loving family including his father Wing Leong; sister Mayling Leong (Matthew Beauclair); sister Debbie Biro; aunts; uncles and cousins as well as many extended family and friends.
He worked as a construction foreman in Kitimat for Alltec and Empirica and as a General Foreman at IDL Projects Inc. Wayman recently greatly enjoyed spending his 50th birthday in Mexico with childhood friends.
When he was young, Wayman was very involved in the Air Cadets and earned a Silver Star Certificate. Wayman enjoyed electronics, mechanics and model building but his real passion was fishing.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Nk'Mip Desert Canyon Golf Course.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
