Statistically, childhood bullies become adult bullies. So the mean girls from Grade 7 are now the menopausal mean girls.
Hopefully this is not a genetic problem and we’re not passing the gene along to our spawn and spawn’s spawn.
In a small town it’s far worse. I met a beautiful lady at a community event lately. She told me her childhood memories of the Similkameen are very traumatic. Her family wasn’t affluent so couldn’t afford fashions similar to her elementary peers. Being slightly overweight, they taunted her daily, even spitting in her hair.
Here’s a news flash you arrogant “air heads,” you don’t own the street that bears your family names anymore. Get over yourselves. Do you really need to be known as the women who put the “mean” in Similkameen?
