Great effort was made by the city of Penticton to beautify the Okanagan beach promenade.
It is disgusting to walk along it and see dog feces on the artificial turf and also on the grass area from what seemed to be from large dogs. I don’t think the visitors from the antique car rally appreciate such irresponsible behaviour of people from this city.
Whether one likes or hates dogs, the sentiment should be unanimous that these pets have no place on the promenade or public beaches when there are designated beaches for dogs.
This irresponsible behaviour by dog owners is intolerable to the rest of us and deserves hefty fines. Since the police cannot be everywhere at all times, it is incumbent on the public to report such acts, using cell phones to alert the police.
