I would like to respond to a letter by Shirley Corteen published July 20, re: the deer population.
Bravo to her... I couldn’t agree more. Has anyone seen the bumper sticker that says “there’s plenty of room for all God’s creatures ... right next to the mashed potatoes?”
A few years ago, in the South Okanagan, there was an influx of geese.
The solution, if I remember correctly, was a limited time open hunt. So do I need to paint a picture here?
There are at least 100 delicious ways to cook venison, and I’m sure the soup kitchen would be grateful for any donations.
