Penticton city council is going to spend between $94,000 and $99,000 per year, plus benefits,  for a new inspector.

Senior staff claim $63,000 will be covered by increased fees to developers.

Wait a minute. Didn’t they just say they were waiving fees and giving tax breaks to new development? How then will that generate more revenue to pay for new staff?

You can’t have it both ways. Another rushed decision costing taxpayers thousands.
