Again the mayor and council is allowing the city bureaucrats to set the stage and dominate the expenditures of Penticton.
It was bad enough to “sell” off a quarter of Skaha Park for a silly Wally World waterslide, which I hope is off the agenda. Or, if not, the courts will squash the behind-the-doors negotiated contract(s).
Now parking meters? Again negotiated behind closed doors. Let’s get real. Next they’ll insist paying for parking in front of your house?
It’s time for: come on people let’s get rid of the mayor and city council.
We need clarity, genuine leadership and financial control.
