LETTER: Pride for our national flag

I am writing this letter to find out why we are allowing the Pride Parade to change our maple leaf flag?

I am writing this letter to find out why we are allowing the Pride Parade to change our maple leaf flag?

I am not homophobic and really don’t care one way or the other what the LGBT Pride do.  Just don’t let them have our flag also. They have their flag and their crosswalks.

In the parade behind our prime minister and the minister of defence is our flag with the rainbow colours at each end. I  dug into our flag more on the internet and found “20 things you must know about the Canadian flag.”  Number nine states nothing should be attached, pinned or sewn to it.  It  is also inappropriate to mark or write on it.  This would include signatures of prominent Canadians.

Veterans fought and are still fighting for this flag. Why is our prime minister, carrying it in one Pride Parade and having it flying behind him in another? Is this now going to be one of our national flags?  I am really having trouble understanding why this is being allowed.
