There are many people facing physical or psychological issues in the city that have been engaged by the city to keep our streets and sidewalks clear of refuse.
My hat is off to them as they wend their way along established routes to clean up refuse such as: paper, wrappers, paper cups, etc. and yes, even stubbed out cigarette butts that careless smokers have thrown out or left on sidewalks. Rain or shine, you can see this dedicated cadre of individuals doing what they have been mandated to do. They take their task seriously and are dedicated to the duty that they perform. These individuals are heroes as they help make this city a better place in which to live.
