For the past month I have walked my protest line at the city hall in Summerland concerning the Trout Creek sewer extension project.
We are told there are no grants available and 25 residents must pay the entire cost of $48,000 cash or $1,606 tax increase for 20 years, or $158.53 monthly for 20 years.
Factor in the connection fee, the interest rates and taxes — this is insane.
After 52 years we are forced to sell. Thank you Summerland.
