LETTERS: Olive branch stinks

A media line is a phrase, true or not, repeated often enough until people think it’s true.

A media line is a phrase, true or not, repeated often enough until people think it’s true.

Nudging is a polite, concerned, inclusive statement used to manipulate behaviour. For example, The Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce and City of Penticton have used “they don’t understand the plan, they are spreading misinformation, improve the vitality of the park, attract young families to more jobs, one more piece of inventory, revitalize the south end of town and the finale, they are resistant to change.”

Chamber of commerce now describes us as “people who care, an important part of the community.” ”Time to heal the division.” “We just misunderstand chambers position.”

We are not too old and out of touch to understand what’s going on. Your olive branch smells of agent orange.
