UBC Thunderbirds women's basketball team held a training camp to help players bond in Penticton. During their time, they held a free clinic for girls in Grades 8 through 12 with 22 girls participating.

"We were missing the multi-sport athletes who were competing in a volleyball tournament," said Thunderbirds coach Deb Huband. "The girls seemed focused and keen on improving their skills. They were a good group to work with and we enjoyed our time with them. We had a chance for a question and answer session with our players after the clinic and fielded questions regarding university life, academics and basketball.
