Early bird registration for the Okanagan Trestle Tour expires Feb. 1.

The event, scheduled for July 5, is a self-paced recreational ride and isn't time and gives riders a one-day trip on one of the most scenic regions in B.C. – the historic Kettle Valley Rail Trail. The 80 kilometre route starts with 18 trestles and two tunnels and is flat for the first 36 km with a 2.2 per cent decline to Penticton.

The 40 km route starts at Chute Lake to Penticton with a gentle decline the entire way.

There will be five rest stops offering snacks and drinks.  Mechanical support at the start, roaming on route and at Chute Lake. First Aid is provided by the Canadian Ski Patrol. As cyclists arrive in Penticton, they’ll be greeted by live music, a BBQ, wine, beer and cider.
