After defeating the Summerland Rockets 62-44 to advance to the South Zone championship in Oliver, the Princess Margaret Mustangs a 67-55 decision to the Hornets.

The Hornets stung the Mustangs with strong shooting as they were dialed in from long distance scoring 14 points from three point range. The Hornets were led by Austin Basso's 20 point effort.

After leading the Mustangs with 18 points against the Rockets, Kohl Linder drained 15 against the Hornets to go with nine rebounds. Colton Van Camp had 16 points, nine rebounds and five steals. Prabh Chahal chipped in 13 points. Chahal also had a 17-point effort against the Rockets.

Next up for the Mustangs are the AA South Okanagan valley championships in Kamloops Feb. 26-28.
