Penticton golfer earns Zone 2 win

Penticton’s Jordan Simpson shot one-under 71 to win the Zone 2 Kelowna Springs Junior golf tour on May 8. Simpson topped Kelowna Harvest Golf Club’s Daniel Polischuk, who finished two-over par 73. In third was West Kelowna’s Nik Federko at 75.

At Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club in near Vernon on May 7, tour leader Terry Cousineau of Kamloops shot par 72 edging Parker Wadsworth, who shot one-over par 73. In third was Kyle Mayner scoring 74. Jackson Coates was the top Penticton golfer at six-over par 78.

Kamloops’ Terry Cousineau leads Zone 2 with a score of 263.5. Polischuk is second at 219, while Federko is in third at 191 points. Simpson is eighth on the list at 111.

The next stops on the tour are in Salmon Arm on May 14 and Chase, May 15.
