The U18 AAA Penticton Tigers headed into the provincial championship finals undefeated on Sunday.

The Tigers fought hard against their opponent the NSBA, coming in second in the tournament with a loss of 3-4.

Earlier on Sunday, the Penticton Tigers won the semifinals against the host team the Township Blue Sox with a 5-2 win.

The road to representing B.C. on the national stage started July 27 in Langley at the U18 provincial championships.

Penticton was among the eight U18 AAA baseball teams in the province vying for a spot in this year’s Western Canadian Championships, set for Aug. 18 to 20 in Winnipeg.

The team, led by manager Josh Snider, finished the regular season with a 33-7 record.
