Penticton Vees game against West Kelowna rescheduled for Feb. 18

The matchup was originally set for Jan. 7 at the SOEC before being postponed for COVID protocols

The Penticton Vees postponed game against the West Kelowna Warriors from Jan. 7 has been rescheduled to Feb. 18, the team announced on Thursday (Jan. 13).

Penticton and West Kelowna were set to meet at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) last week before the B.C. Hockey League postponed the game amid the league’s COVID-19 protocol.

Fans can use their tickets from the postponed game on Jan. 7 for the rescheduled game on Feb. 18.

The Vees were one of four BCHL clubs to have their team activities paused earlier this month.

Penticton was joined by the Trail Smoke Eaters, Cowichan Valley Capitals and Langley Rivermen as the teams directly affected by the league’s COVID-19 protocol.

The Vees and Warriors faced off four consecutive times from Dec. 18 to Jan. 1. The postponement of the game on Jan. 7 prevented the two teams from completing a five-game set.

In addition to moving the game against West Kelowna to Feb. 18, the team also announced that Season Ticket Membership Appreciation Night will go on Jan. 21 at the SOEC.

For tickets, the team is asking people to visit valleyfirsttix.com.
