Penticton’s Lake City basketball team hits the court against Summerland

Penticton U14 girls sneak past Summerland in minor basketball play

Penticton’s Lake City U14 girls team had a strong showing in their recent game against Summerland, coming out on top 25-22 in Kelowna Minor Basketball Association action.

Josie Nickel led the way for the winners with 10 points and Anna Lopez contributed six points.

“Defensively, I was very pleased,” said coach Victor Loewen. “The girls are starting to understand help defence and the importance of moving their feet. “Bella Keith and Winter Luty did a great job rebounding, and Anna and Josie attacked the hoop very effectively.”
