Tigers cool down Flames in TOJLL

The South Okanagan Flames lost to the Vernon Tigers in junior lacrosse action

The South Okanagan Flames junior B lacrosse team is now 3-2-1 in the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League.

On Monday, the Flames were blown out at home 13-2. They trailed 7-2 after two periods. The Tigers offence was led by Jordy Barr with four goals, while Jake Pelletier and Ryan Sarazin scored three goals each. Steele Pelletier collected four assists, while Brett Olsen had three. Flames goalie Charles Nicholas faced 46 shots. Scoring for the Flames were Levi and Tanner Thompson.  On May 7, the Flames lost 18-8 to the Kamloops Venom. Riley Peterson led the Venom with five goals, while Bowen Stauffner added four. The Flames had a balanced attack with Kaid MacLeod, Levi Thompson and Louis Shortreed each scoring twice.

The Flames’ next home game is May 16 at Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m. Flames captain Kaid MacLeod leads the league with 24 goals and 46 points.
