Vees whip Centennials in final exhibition game

Cody DePourcq and Jack Ramsey have big offensive games for Penticton Vees against Merritt

Cody DePourcq and Jack Ramsey pocketed two goals each as the Penticton Vees rolled over the Merritt Centennials 8-1 in their final exhibition game Sunday.

Demico Hannoun opened the scoring and Tyson Jost finished it beating Jonah Imoo with a shot low glove side. Also scoring for the Vees was Lewis Zerter-Gossage and Steen Cooper, short-handed.

The Centennials lone scorer was Nick Fidanza beating Hunter Miska stick side. Brendan Barry saw action between the pipes for the Vees in the third period.

The Vees open the regular season next weekend in Chilliwack for the BCHL Bauer Showcase. Vees notes: The roster is down to 22 as general manager Fred Harbinson moved Neil Robinson to the Brooks Bandits for future considerations. Cam Amantea will be taken off the injured reserve.
