Video: Loving Mugs Chili Cook-off returns to Penticton Art Gallery

The fundraiser saw 12 chilis competing for top honours.

The second annual Loving Mugs Chili Cook-off featured 12 different chilis from local restaurants.

More than 120 people attended the fundraiser, held at the Penticton Art Gallery on Feb. 21, and voted for their favourite chili. Attendees got to pick their own personal, handcrafted mug to take home with them.

Three trophies were given out this year: Most Popular Chili, Most Unusual Chili and the Climate Changer trophy.

The trophy for the Loving Mug trophy, the most popular chili, went to Brodo Kitchen’s carnitas pork shoulder chili.

Smuggler’s Smokehouse, with their smoked pork chili, won the Hipster trophy for the most unusual chili.

The Bench Market laid claim to the beaniest of all with their squashed chili, winning the Climate Changer trophy.
