Anyone wondering why Penticton attracts so many visitors every year will be able to find out the answer for themselves at the city’s trade and convention centre this Saturday, April 9.
The fifth annual TRUE Penticton Tourism and Job Fair goes this weekend from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature both tourism displays unique to the Peach City as well as its own job fair.
“Discover new adventures and reacquaint yourself with all of the amazing activities, attractions, accommodations, restaurants, wineries, breweries, cideries, events and so much more happening in and around Penticton,” TRUE (Thinking about Remarkable Unique Experiences) event organizers wrote.
People interested in attending the free event are welcome to introduce themselves to all of the local tourism businesses with a resume in hand.
“Many businesses at this event are looking to hire their summer staff, so this is also a great opportunity to bring your resume and find the perfect summer job, volunteer opportunity, or a career in the tourism and hospitality industry,” said the organizers.
Chances to win prizes, food and drink samples, as well as scavenger hunts are expected to be part of the event.
It’s been over two years since the tourism expo was able to proceed, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those looking to get a head start on Saturday’s festivities can do so by clicking here to learn more about the exhibitors and the businesses that are hiring.
