Time is running out for people in Penticton to walk through the downtown light tunnel.
Starting Feb. 1, city crews will begin taking down the lights display at Gyro Park.
The 170-foot tunnel has been lit up since the start of the holiday season in December, from dusk to midnight. It features 30,000 LED lights.
“Everything will be packed away neatly and brought out again next year — perhaps with some new surprises,” the city said on social media.
“So, are you feeling ready for spring?”
The tunnel marked a new addition to Penticton’s holiday displays and was first introduced during the city’s light-up festival, Magic on Main Street and Santa Claus Parade in early December. The tunnel has been a big hit every since, drawing people from all around to enjoy the experience.
