If you haven’t gone through the 170-foot light tunnel at downtown Penticton’s Gyro Park, you still have time to do so.
According to Shane Mills, the city’s communications manager, the light tunnel with its more than 30,000 LED lights will stay on past Penticton’s first-ever winter festival ‘Frost Fest,’ which takes place on Jan. 20.
The city first introduced the new light tunnel and all the new lights at Gyro Park in downtown Penticton and the city organized ‘Magic on Main Street, Santa Parade and Light Up on Dec. 5.
The light tunnel and the surrounding lights, as well as the lit skating rink, have given downtown Penticton a fun winter holiday vibe. The light tunnel has been a huge hit with thousands already walking through it.
The tunnel will be an annual holiday feature, said the city.
