Family Day event is back at Penticton’s SOEC

Family skate, BBQ, games and more planned for Monday, Feb. 19

OVG360 and the City of Penticton are bringing back the popular Family Day event at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) for the first time since 2020.

After a three-year hiatus, the beloved tradition is set to make a comeback, on Monday, Feb. 19 from noon to 3 p.m. promising a day filled with fun for families in Penticton including family skate, games, BBQ and more.

Here’s what’s happening:

• Free family skate at the SOEC

• IGA Penticton BBQ by donation on the SOEC plaza

• Meet Vees’ mascot, Harvee

• Sensory Space, provided by Recreation Penticton

• Photo Booth, Fun and Games inside the SOEC, provided by neuHouzz Realty and Recreation Penticton

• Complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and donuts provided by Tim Hortons Penticton.

All proceeds from the BBQ will go to supporting the Penticton Minor Hockey Association.

The new addition of a Sensory Space where individuals can wind down in a relaxing environment.
