If you’re looking for a way to firmly shake winter’s cold from your bones and get some heat, then the Penticton Art Gallery’s Loving Mugs is almost here.

Tickets are still on sale on the gallery’s website for the seventh year of the annual chili cook-off and fundraiser on Feb. 8.

This year there are 11 different eateries, ranging from Honey Toast and Angry Vegan to Slackwater and the Dream Cafe, who will be competing for a variety of titles as decided by the tasting attendees.

As always, the chili gets served up in a handmade mug, each one unique and made just for the event, that people get to take home afterward.

A secret recipe book is also part of the take-home memories from the night.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the chili starting to be served at 7 p.m.

The event is one of two foodie fundraisers that bookend the year for the gallery, with the annual Soup Bowls happening in the winter.

Tickets are still available. Members can purchase tickets for $40, non-members are $45.
