As the ridings only addiction physician I clearly have very strong views on the current pitiful response to the fentanyl crisis that is killing a 100 British Colombians a month and really both parties platforms don’t address the issue fundamentally or meaningfully.
An evidence based approach that includes harm reduction ,methadone and suboxone therapies, meaningful effective liaison with mental health services,and enforcement in the short term to address this criss and a longer term strategy to address the many reasons why we are engulfed in this crisis including but not limited to chronic pain management ,a review of the current laws and enforcement and a new approach to health care.
