A man who was once banned from the Town of Princeton for three years is again before the local court.

Kevin Lynch is charged with driving while prohibited.

His case was set for disposition July 6, however, due to ongoing discussions between Crown and defence a resolution was set for August circuit court.

In 2017, Lynch was found guilty of several crimes related to harassing a former partner and her family.

The court made a rare order, prohibiting Lynch from being within 50 kilometres of Princeton for three years.

“A restriction that Mr. Lynch not be found within a 50-kilometre radius is necessary in this case in order to protect the (victims),” the decision read. “It would be wrong, having regard to Mr. Lynch’s history, not to utilize every tool available to the court to try and prevent a continuation of the harassment.”
