Impaired driver hits vehicle

A witness reported a dangerous driver to police on the evening of Nov. 6 after witnessing a grey Honda pass through multiple red lights and collide with a parked Ford F-150 on Haynes Street and Nanaimo Avenue. Police are recommending charges of impaired driving and the male driver was issued a 24-hour prohibition notice and a standard driving prohibition. No injuries were reported.

“It’s good when people phone this stuff in and continue to observe what is going on so we can maintain continuity and get these people off the road,” said Rick Dellebuur, community policing liaison for the Penticton RCMP.
