The Penticton Heat U9/U11 field lacrosse team played in torrential rain and against older players to come in at an impressive fourth-place finish at the Richmond Romp Remembrance Day Tournament recently.

The boys played exceptionally well for being a combined team of 8 to 11-year-olds. They placed 4th in the tournament and battled every game against other teams with rosters of solid 11-year-olds, said parent Kate Trahan.

The team played hard each game in less than favourable conditions. When asked what their favourite part of the tournament was, they commented, ‘playing games.’

“After two years of COVID restrictions, it was great to play the game they love,” said parent Kate Trahan.
