Bradly Nadeau scored just 49 seconds after the puck was dropped on Friday night to lift the Penticton Vees to a 4-0 victory against the Prince George Spruce Kings at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

On the backs of two-goal performances from Nadeau and Aydar Suniev, as well as a 20-save shutout from goaltender Luca Di Pasquo, the Vees extended their win streak to 15 games in front of the nearly 2,800 in attendance.

Nadeau’s brother, Josh, set a B.C. Hockey League milestone in the first period when he posted his 100th career point on Bradly’s eventual game-winning goal.

Suniev, who doesn’t turn 18 years old until Nov. 16, found the back of the net twice in the middle frame with goals less than two minutes apart. He leads all BCHL rookies with 22 points in 14 games.

Penticton has won 31 games in a row, dating back to last year’s playoffs. The team has already made franchise history with its win streak to start the 2022-2023 season.

The Vees — who outshot their Prince George counterparts 44-20 — are back in action Saturday night when they welcome the Wenatchee Wild.

Washington State’s lone BCHL team was in Merritt on Friday, defeating the Centennials in overtime 5-4. The Wild (3-9-0-1) sit in eighth place in the Interior Division.

Puck drop at the SOEC on Saturday is set for 6 p.m.
